The conference was held at the Marriott Orlando, in Orlando, Florida, from April 17-19. Carlos is a Research Associate at Ciampitti Lab, which gave a presentation on "Mapping Soybean Quality from the Sky: Using Remote Sensing Data and Machine Learning to Quantify Quality in Soybean Crops."
The conference provided a forum for universities, students, industry partners, and representatives of various stakeholder groups to share their knowledge, views, and collective interest in the development of AI-driven agriculture.
Carlos highlighted that the conference had excellent attendance, making it an ideal platform to learn about the state of the art and the different applications of artificial intelligence in agriculture. He also mentioned that the participation of members from different universities allowed the exchange of ideas and knowledge about the latest advances in both intensive and extensive crops.
The participants discussed the advances and applications of predictive tools and automatic data processing in different intensive and extensive crops.
The meeting addressed multiple aspects of USDA's agricultural innovation agenda. In addition, it focused on the NIFA priority by generating shared knowledge of our various research strengths, creating new networking partnerships, and identifying thematic areas where innovation, policy change, or outreach is needed.
