Dr. Ramesh Kanwar

Dr. Kanwar received his PhD from Iowa State University, USA in 1981 in agricultural and water resources engineering and has been a faculty member of Iowa State University since 1981. He was appointed Distinguished Professor in 2009 and served Department Chair from 2001 to 2011. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, FAO, USAID, EC, NATO, and UNDP projects which have taken me to 60+ countries. His passion is to transform higher education and prepare students as globally completive and responsible citizens of the global society.
Mr. Saren Ry
S3-Cambodia Project
Mr. Saren Ry is a field technician in the S3-Cambodia Project: Scaling Suitable Sustainable Technologies at National University of Battambang. He is working on Green Lab’s establishment of Wild Food Plants at Secondary School and High School in Cambodia in order to link students to Agriculture and also focusing on the extension of conservation agriculture technology with vegetable production and tomato grafting technology in the rainy season to schools, farmers and agriculture cooperatives.
Dr. Shoumo Mitra
Corteva
Dr. Sowmya (Shoumo) Mitra is the APAC Regional Marketing Director for Corteva Agriscience based in Singapore. Prior to his marketing role he was the APAC Head of Field Sciences (IFS) within the Crop Protection Discovery & Development based in Singapore.
Shoumo received his Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Agricultural Engineering and Soil Science and went on to receive his M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Soil Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA. He also completed a sales and marketing excellence program from INSEAD, the World Business School in Singapore.
